Here are a few of my New Salt Tank. I've been out if doing fish for many years. I used to have a 150 Gal Salt and only had it set up for fish. This tank was purchased 6 weeks ago... I've more than doubled the LR and replaced the old sand with new Live Sand... I'm not planning on adding any more corols or fish... it might have too much already?

You gotta Love Panormaic Photo Stiching... That's 3 pictures put together.

Below is my filter setup... Please advise if I have anything wrong?

Pump and UV Sterilizer are on the left side. Skimmer, filter bags are on the right. I think I might need to turn down the air on my skimmer... not very dark?

Thanks for any idea's you might have.

Hey! You said this was going to be fun!

Looks good...the tank looks much larger than 55 gallons.  Did you buy it as a pre-existing tank from someone?  You have a lot of fish/corals for a tank that is only 6 weeks old.

The tank was up for two years when I purchased it off of Craigslist... it was not very well taken care of. I replaced all the sand with new live sand and kept about 35 gal of the water... with the balance of the old water I cleaned the live rock. I'm guessing that the tank came with about 30 or 40 pounds of rock. The tank had only one fish alive when I purchased it... a Zebra Damsel.

Over the weekend the "Hugs and Kiss's" and I went out and purchased a new glass tank... So this one will be torn down on Saturday. The new tank is 80 gal and will fit on the stand we are using now... If anyone is looking to get a tank... drop me a line.

I forgot to say... I also upgraded and replaced the lighting... the system come with 2 36" compacts. I did keep them and added a retro kit with 4 more compacts. The tank did have a small cycle about a week after I had it up but, it cleared up after about two days. I have done a 10% water change every week after the 2nd week.

Well I got the new tank up... the old tank first... (The one I had for about 6 weeks)

and the new tank... it's only 20 Gal bigger.

Even though the new tank is bigger I removed 5 fish and 1 starfish from the tank.
