Monitor the water parameters at least once daily and be prepared for large water changes as there may not be enough biological filtration for your current bioload.

| Ok, so I did all I could and here is the rundown of the good, the bad, and the ugly. The Good: No fish were harmed nor inverts. The dip went well and the # of cysts on the tang was cut by 75%. I watched swim lazily around in the methylene blue dip (was going to just do fw but decided not to) for about 20 min then took it out. The Bad: All the fish are now in the 50g main, so all are in contact with the ich - nowhere to keep everything separate. The Ugly: I got blue everywhere. Fortunately it was in the laundry room and mostly in the slop sink. The achilles has been relieved for the time being, but with nowhere to put it, it is back in the main tank. All of the inverts (save 2 snails whose whereabouts are unaccounted for) are out of the main tank. The majority of them are in the 10g QT with a 40w PC to sustain the shrooms and kelp. The sand and rocks that could not fit are in the bin with a air pump. I bought a air pump rated for 100g with two outlets and both are in the main. There is a air pump rated for 60g is in the QT with one on the sponge filter and the other on a air stone. The 30g air pump is in the bin. I decided to sacrifice a little bit of sand. I left just enough to cover the bottom of the main tank to keep the fish from going crazy off their reflections. There is a decent number of places for them to hide as I put the inert fw decorations in. All the fish seem to be doing well. Tomorrow I plan to begin the hyposalinity treatment on the main tank. Any advice is much appreciated, thanks for all your help.

| Yesterday the achilles tang died. Today the valentini puffer is not eating and is swimming weird. Its caudual fin seems clamped and it will only use its pectoral fins for movement, and it is more reclusive than normal. The blue tang still has the ich and is scratching, but there is no sign of reduced activity. The hawaiian toby looks unaffected. I lowered the salinity to 1.012 but it doesn't seem to help. The fw/methlene blue bathes were helping the tang, but seemingly not enough. I am not sure what to do. As of right now, my plan of action is to slowly raise the salinity to normal so I can administer copper.

| In order to eradicate the parasites, the SG needs to be 1.009. Are you treating in the display tank? What are the water parameters? If you are going to treat with copper, raise the salinity to 1.018 and start SeaChem Cupramine. Follow the directions on the bottle. Do not use in a tank with live rock, substrate or carbon. Monitor copper levels and water parameters at least daily. Make sure that your copper kit measures the copper you are using - chelated vs nonchelated. Add extra aeration to the treatment tank.

| I brought the salinity back and am treating with Cupramine following the directions closely. Yesterday the valentini puffer died and today the blue tang died. I only have the hawaiian puffer left and will continue to save anything and everything I can from death. pH = 8.3 NH3 = 0 ppm NO2 = 0 NO3 = 25 Cu = .5 mg/L

Are you treating the display tank or in a QT?

| Now all my fish are dead. This morning the hawaiian puffer was alive and around noon, dead. Thank you for all your help during this time. I learned and lost a lot.

| Sorry to hear about your losses. I would recommend leaving the tank fallow (fishless) for at least 4 weeks. Do a large water change in the next couple of days and add new carbon. Again, sorry.
