What kind of lighting are you using?
Great setup and I am a huge fn of the Achilles Tang.  Awsome tank.  How long has it been setup?  Do you have a thread for it?

Hi sorry it took so long to reply. This tank was set up march of 2006 and no I don't have any build threads. In those pics I was using 250DE 10k XMs with 2 vho 10k fluorescents.

Since I took those pics my poor tank has had some ups and downs and some major changes. Right now I'm in the process of changing the bulbs and reflectors over to lumenmax reflectors and 250w SE bulbs with HQI ballasts. The difference in brightness is startling and I unfortunately under estimated how bright they actually are and accidently bleached some corals.

Here is a recent pic with the lights now a good 18" off the water and I'm also using light filters so the tank is well shaded.

The coral colours aren't popping out so much because the colour of the mh bulbs are kind of bleh when it finally makes it into the water

The tank looks much brighter with the new lights.  It is looking very good.

I've done my spring cleaning...at least now I can see the sand bed. I appear to have fallen into the trap of buying colourful, expensive corals
