Got a BTA in QT. It has been there for three days. All was looking good visually and started to accept small bits of food. This morning it was floating and I could see it had air in its bulbs. It still was nicely inflated and all looked normal except the air bubbles. 10 gallon QT,sponge filter ,airlift tubes, heater set on 78.It has 3 other BTA's in there with it.The 3 are clones I was QTing them and it has split twice.I have just about completed the prop tanks they will be separated then.Should I just let it be or do I need to do something to help it burp?

trapped air in corals/anemones comes from at leats a few possible places. If its just in food ingested, it normally will get purged in time... please be patient.

If its from oxygen supersaturated water or the reverse as from a pinhole leak in pump fittings (hyper-) or a rapid loss (hypo-) as when pouring hot water into colder water to make "warm" water for aquarium use (yikes... NEVER do this to "heat up" standing water for aquarium use)... then you may have a problem. Give it a week and liberate it with a needle if it has not purged by then.

Lastly, it can occur from excess (intensity and/or duration... though usually the former, or a combination as when lights are mistakenly left on all night long and more than once per week) light and is "mfg" inside of the zooxanthellate cnidarian to its own detriment.

My guess is that you have simply got trapped air from food and it will purge very soon.

Do share pics if you can.

Kindly, Anth-

Came back from church and everything was back to normal.Do you think this could be some form of locomotion? On a side note what is the next conference you will be attending?
Thanks,Enjoy the game!

its not a form of locomotion my friend.

My next lecture is in February in Florida, then March in NY for the LIRA club (NERAC III)... April is to Greece and May in Atlanta for ARS (Saltwater U III). Do check out the links for these events in stickies atop my forum, or the announcements forum (and the host clubs websites are best)
