| Anthony, What's the best way to coax an attached anemone from the aquarium. My first reaction is to pull the rock from the water and hold upside down until the anemone releases. Is this safe? Now what if the anemone is attached to the aquarium glass? Thanks, -J

| This is something I actually know about, for once. Assuming the anemones foot is not in a crevice in the rock use a pen cap to gently start peeling the foot from the rock (use the smooth side), once you have it started it will usually come off quite easily. BTW why do you want to remove it from the rock?

| They also respond to an ice cube at the base of their "foot" as well as placing rubble in fron of their bolt hole and shading the light above them to make them crawl out onto the loose material. Credit cards and plastic spoons also work well for gentle peeling.
