Flow is huge for an Anemone Species tank--any thoughts on what would be best for flow--do not want to do the PHs with wavermaster timer--this is too noisy and ultimately breaks the PH--any thoughts

Anthony--it's been said before, and no doubt it will be said again, you are a class act--rasing around this forum answering everyone's questions--you're a good egg piasono.

Re: Species. I only will use BTAs cloned in captivity--if I can manage that way then this project falls by the waste side--it's scary the way these anemones are harvest and never to reappear at the harvesting site--scray stuff

Thanks kindly my friend

Hmmm... for BTAs, they are in fact tolerant of a wide range of flow. That said, if this is a culture tank, do consider blocking the corners with narrow plates of glass or acrylic (like one does to protect heaters from pushy fishes) so that the aquarium has a more octagonal shape. Then use two high volume/efficiency (good old Tunze stream pumps) for alternating centrifugal currents. This will clean/purge/feed all tentacles nicely and have the perk of collecting detritus tidy in the center of the tank always

Given the above, should I just elect to use the two tunze stream pumps, and forget using the manifold setup/remote deep sand bed--if all I am keeping is some live rock and cloned BTAs and 2-4 clowns in a 29 gallon is anything else necessary. Initially, as you all know I was contemplating a closed loop manifold that would pass over a remote DSB of approx. five gallons and then run into a sump where I would skim with an aqua c remora and possible treat with carbon/poly marine pads via rena--over kill?
