| hands down, its flash power. If you have a hot shoe (see web search for definition/images), please buy an extra flash (and off camera flash cord if you can). It will illuminate details in pics you never knew existed... and it will tremendously increase your depth of field possibilities. Essentially every camera you will buy (yes.. including the multi-thousand $ models) has a severely undersized onboard camera flash. This should be your very first upgrade purchase after your first good lens
