Hello, we ordered a yellow, sailfin, powder blue, and purple tang from marinedepo about 2 months ago and printed out the care sheets on each fish we ordered and already have. We already have a blonde tang, huma trigger, stars n stripes, porcupine,4-stripe damsel, panther, red snapper, and racoon butterfly. Have 225gal, so its ok for now, i hope.
My concern is that the paper for the purple tang is the only one that says it must be fed vitamin suppliments and proper hervbivorous diet to retain wived color and prevent HLLE. We have the herbivorous part dawn but do you know about special vitamin suppliments? Thanks for your ideas.

| I would recommend Selcon and a good "multi" vitamin like Boyd's vita chem, HW- multi-vit (german manufacturer) or Ecosystem's Garlic elixir for ALL fish, sharks, seahorses, etc. These are the ones, I use. I have not reviewed/looked at the care sheets, but I definitely will and give my input. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

| Kelly, Do you soak the food in the vitamins or directly to the water or both? Thanks, Greg

| Greg, I add the the vitamins to the food. You get the "maximum" effectiveness at a lesser volume - saves you $ If the fish isn't eating, you could add it to the water, but only a small portion that will be diluted will get ingested and many are not stable in saltwater. How are your marine friends doing? Best of luck.
