Anthony you mentioned in a pm to me about a speaking engagement in Atlanta called saltu & suggested I try & meet you there or in Chicago to discuss greenhouse plans.I cant find any info on the Atlanta meeting.Could you post something?
Justincredible & I want to discuss booking you for a consult to CT if we cant make a show.
For anyone else looking for greenhouse suppliers this company has been great - http://www.griffins.com/index.asp

thanks for the links Steve.

Jerred/Justin... let's perhaps start a greenhouse thread here so that others can share input with you and they can benefit from our exchanges as well. If you need further or faster advice form me, then indeed we can chat privately about consults. I'm happy to do most all I can for you though for free... only asking that we do it on the public databases like this for the benefit of others and best use of my/our time.

kindly, Anthony

I would be very interested in following a thread of this type.  Since your recent talk at MAST it has gotten me thinking of some possibilities.

Hope you don't mind the external link, but this is a very good thread on a greenhouse project by Rocky Herman. Some of the images are no longer working since they were external but some great information nonetheless.

no worries about the external links at all... on the contrary! Any/all such are appreciated as we all work in information sharing. We happily link to other sites (even those not gracious enough to their members/the hobby to link out themselves to other informational sites )

Rocky Herman isa very cool fellow... fine thread builder too. Thanks Reefland.

Anthony, Kieth & I looked into those concrete coffin liners at the local graveyard.

The liners are 92" L x 38" w x 31" deep for a tottal vol. of 470 gal.I subtracted the 2" wall thickness. They cost $250 each.We discussed a depth for the greenhouse ponds in the 3' to 4' range for cooling purposes.Whats your opinion on this pond design?
Do you think I will need additional cooling or will the concrete help make up the depth difference?

Thanks,Jerred

50 cents per gallon in cost is a very good price and is the target we are looking for in water holding vessels for coral farming pools.

As for cooling.... what concrete are you referring too?

The liners themselves are made out of 2" concrete.I will need to epoxy the inside of course. My main concern was the tank not being 4' deep & running into cooling issues during the hot season. You had mentioned an ideal target depth in the 4' range.

no worries... 31" is still quite good even if/with a 6" sand base. These vessels are large enough (agllonage) too to resist shifts with reasonable climate control. They are larger than the vessels I used at first too (and they worked fine )
