| Anthony How long is normal for a Haddon's to bury his foot in the sand? Mine has been in the tank for 2 days(he looks great mouth closed and hes expanded out) and I dug a small hole about 2 " into a 4/5 " sand bed next to a pillar rock The foot is partly attached to the rock kinda like on one side and the foot is expanded (like an upside down mushroom) to a large size What to expect? should I scoop the sand all the way to the bottom under him or just let him do it? (I added a pic this was day one and you can see where the foot is, still same place but foot much bigger today)
Thanks!

they will usually attach within a few days. The pit was a good idea. I also like to place some rubble around the edge of the sand pit to make them less likely to travel. For frisky anemones I'll even spear 1/4" rigid airline tubing into the sand in a few places just outside of the reach/perim of the anemone to discourage straying (the swell, bump and retreat slightly oftentimes). After the anemone is firmly anchored (weeks) you can pull the rods and rubble.
