Already made a 5mm glass aquarium of L 213 x 30 W x 76 H, so am thinking it may not work out fine, if i use it, so want to confirm......is this ok, or should just make a new tank using 8mm? 0% 0 votes

I can't think in mm or cm (assuming dimensions are cm), LOL.  I think 5mm thick glass is only .19 inches.  To me that seems very thin for a tank that large.  I would think you want 1/2" glass minimum for that large of a tank which is about 13mm.

But I haven't built my own tanks, so I could be wrong.

Have a look at these tanks...depending on the size they use 5-10 mm and they are much smaller than what you built.

Was the dimension in cm or mm? If cm you'd want at least 10mm glass, probably 12mm to be safe. Is it really only 30cm front to back?
