Very cool!

Never thought of using steel as a tank perimeter to prevent bowing and to take the place of euro bracing... Can you take a close up shot of the steel/acrylic interface? I guess a better question would be how do you mate the steel to the acrylic?

Here's some shots of the interior of the tank. Gen (the builder) designed the steel frame to be drilled onto the top of the tank. You can see a lip all around the perimeter of the tank. I thought of you using steel rods, but that would have created an obsruction for one and two cast a shadow in the tank.

Thats pretty slick. So you have a small lip (like a super miniature eurobrace) that then the steel mounts to.

Looking forward to more shots on how it is all coming together.

My buddy Ethan helped me frame out the top for the hood. I painted it with kilz. I want to line the exposed sheet rock/wood with formica to avoid any future moisture problems. A little trick I picked up from Steve Weast.

Pic of 100 gallon eco-system sump. Not sure if I'm going to use it or have a custom one made by Gen. I would like a little larger one...what do you guys think ?

I had my contractor por a heavy pad under the tank and add a 4" drain next to the tank for easy water changes.
