What are the "ingredients" in these products? Do you quarantine new arrivals?
Are you treating the entire tank?
Is your skimmer and carbon being used during this treatment?

| Thank 4 the responce the cromies are about 1 to 1.5 added last wk same time the foxface was added. as for the salinty swing this is due to water evaperation.5 gal of water per wk I did add 2 extra gals of water to lower the salinty to 1.24 from 1.30 no i did not use a QT.(bad movie on my part ) As for the products there is no listing of what it contains no chems all natural expellant 1 is for bacterial the other is for parasites it can be used together @ 12 hr intervails

| Sorry to hear of your loss. Reef shops don't guarantee disease free fish. Pathogens occur at all levels of the hobby/trade. The problem here is there is a pathogen in the tank. If it is a parasite, it will continue its life cycle as long as there are fish in there. Bacterial infections must be treated with an appropriate antibiotic. I do not recommend treating prophylactically for bacterial infections as this leads to drug resistant strains of bacteria. I would recommend quarantining all new arrivals in a separate tank for a minimum of 4-6 weeks and at this point, improved husbandry on the tank you currently have - ie increase water changes, vitamins added to food on regular basis and decrease any stressors - ie aggression, wide fluctuations in water parameters. Best of luck.
