I bought two false percula clowns about a month ago hoping they would become a mated pair. I didn't realize at the time that it is better to buy a smaller and a larger clown and i bought two that are nearly the same size. They get along for the most part but i have seen them get into it four or five times and they both exhibit the laying on the side and shaking movement they do. When the lights go off these fish are side by side and do swim along with each other when the lights are on but also split up and do their own thing. I was just wondering if it sounds at all like they are, or maybe are on their way to becoming a mated pair. Also if not then should i try to return one clown and get a smaller one? Any input would be great, thanks.

| Hey Tom, You should be fine with the two you have. More than likely you have two males right now and the more dominant one will become the female. It may take a few small battles, but they should be able to work it out. HTH,
