I haven't really done much to it other than clean it. A woman I work with offered to give me a three year old koi that has outgrown her pond. What should I do to make sure I'm not introducing any bad things in my pond? I have a couple 35 gallon totes I can keep it in for a while. Also how do I acclimate it and make sure theres not too much aggression from my fish? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Making fish food ?

Quick question:

I like to make "make" food for our indoor fish, and I am wondering if we should feed our outside fish better? My fish eat from my hand so I think it would be cool to have a special treat for them when I have the time to hand feed them. What do you think?

My indoor fish are saltwater, and I know the fatty acid (Hufas and Pufas!) are different so I need to feed FW fish FW food. So, I need a new FW recipe!

What is a good protein source for FW fish that I can buy from the grocery store? And, would peas, carrots and the like be good for vegetable matter?
