garlic for koi?

i've read allot about feeding garlic to marine fish, that it helps boost immune system and fights off parasites. does anybody no if the same is true for koi?

Quick question:

I like to make "make" food for our indoor fish, and I am wondering if we should feed our outside fish better? My fish eat from my hand so I think it would be cool to have a special treat for them when I have the time to hand feed
