I am seeing a little bit of excessive algae growth, hopefully once the tank gets in the tank he will be able to help out with that some. Otherwise you may want to look at getting some snails or other herbivores to help keep it under control.

RE: My 400lt Tank

A fiew pictures of the corals

And finialy after a long wait i got my purple tang hes in QT its not a great picture

RE: My 400lt Tank

Your tank looks great. We feed our anemone and it has never moved from its spot. The clown fish is very protective of it. I have a sun coral that is a very time consuming to feed. I have to spot feed each head and then protect it from the shrimp, crabs and fish as they try to steal the food from it. Higher light seems to bleach it. Ours is place in the opening of a cave. I am looking to move this coral from the tank so it will be easier for feeding & move it out in the open more.

RE: My 400lt Tank

Tha fish look great and so does the tank. Usually once they have established where they like it they will stay put but some like to wander all the time. I recall reading an article by Charles Delbeek where he talked about the anemones in the tanks at the Wakiki aquarium. Some would never move, some would occasionally move and some moved all the time. Some liked being in high water flow while others like low flow. Some liked very bright areas while others like less bright areas. And these were all the same type of anemones. So there really is no telling what an anemone will do in the tank until it is actually in the tank.

RE: My 400lt Tank

The clowns seem to be happy enough swimming around so far

i would like to add an anemone but iam afraid of it moving around the tank stinging my corals is there any ones that are safe?

Thanks

Regards Robbie

RE: My 400lt Tank

Have the clowns tried to host in anything yet or are the just happy swimming around?

I have had my clowns host in torch corals, clams, sinularia and a few other corals when there was no anemone present.

The coralline on the back will work just as well as a background. Some people (like myself) don't have the patience to wait for that to happen.

Looks like the tank is progressing nicely. Many people are off visiting family and friends and not spending as much time on the forums.

Either way the tank is looking good and I hope you enjoy your tank. The only suggestion I may add is you might consider adding a background to the tank. It will help hide the cords that hang off the back of the tank.

RE: My 400lt Tank

no one showes any intrest on this site unless your from america its sad

this is the last time ill post anything
