also be sure to insure VERY stable temperatures during the transfer time. Your fishes and corals and live rock may be in bags or boxes for many hours. Please make a great effort to keep them stable in temperature.

Also do not underestimate the great need for large water changes in the weeks that follow the move. I recommend the first one be done 2-3 days afterwards.

no problelm at all for a one day switch... using the old live rock and some of the old aquarium water (new sand is preferred and also be sure to do at least 2 large water changes in the 1-2 weeks after the transfer.

I can start the new tank in one day ..

the question is

can I put the tow fishes , all the corals and live rock in the same day to the new tank ?

any red flag for the set up plans ?

are you wondering what is the best way to move the creatures, my friend?

What ar eyour specific questions? And how much time do you have to work with to make the transfer (does it all have to happen in one day?)

dear Anthony ..

please your advice

I am planning to replace my almost 3 years old 210 gal reef tank

the new tank will be 170 gal in the same place like the old one ..

for the new one I am planning to keep 2 of my fishes ( foxface , six line wrasse ) and all of my lps –sps corals

so I need your help to find secure way for replace the tanks

I have one empty plastic tank with 100 gal capacity and one other 300 gal

my live rock is about 110 kg

The new display tank will have the most of live rock , sand only for aesthetic reasons, rdsb , 80 gal refugium with chaeto -live rock , skimmer . that is my plans for the new set up ..
