| My husband has a piece rubber, I am assuming it is somekind of roofing material, or landscaping rubber material, would this work for a liner?

I think it depends on the life of the material. Some rubber will break down fast while others are thicking and have a longer lifespan. Also it's important to make sure the material is water proof!! Can you post more info on material or a pic????
