Hi tal--
I check outed your breeding room, I dig the tubs and your rack set-up, but you got me on the blue. I'm a fan of color, but-well glad its not my place.
AS for the tank talk, i read thru a few pages, and honestly i dislike getting into tang policy statements, there appears to be no right or wrong answer..
but i appreciate you pointing me to the thread

Frank

If you're after what the science has to say about tangs, this is a good place to start ...

Robertson, D.R., N.V.C. Polunin and K. Leighton. 1979a. The behavioral ecology of three Indian Ocean Surgeonfishes (Acanthurus lineatus, A. leucosternon and Zebrasoma scopas): their feeding strategies and social and mating systems. Environmental Biology of Fishes 4:125-170.

BTW, Dr. D. Ross Robertson has been studying tangs for decades. A partial list of his articles is here: http://striweb.si.edu/publications/results.php?scientist=D.+Ross+Robertson

LOL I like color, and tend to take it to extremes sometimes  I'm hoping the fish will feel comfortable.

As for the Tang discussion, I know it's a touchy subject.  A friend of mine started the thread with a "humorous" edge but he really does want to learn the specifics of the subject.  I'll check out the links that were posted, Thanks!
