I'm glad the camera's working out for you. Nice goldflake!
What lenses are you using?
The photos look fine to me, but they are very small images and so hard to critique. I want to see more photos, though!

| Hi Andy: I know those are small pictures & I don't know why? I posted them on flickr.com (actually part of yahoo) in order to then be able to post them on dpreview.com. I will have to check into that? I was using the 14-42mm lens for those particular tank photos. I am really liking this Olympus camera & very glad that I made the purchase. Here's on of my favorites thus far, although it doesn't look nearly as crisp when posted here:

Interesting. I hadn't really thought about trying a wide-angle lens for tank shots. Makes sense, though, as that's what the flower people use for those "place a flower in its environment" type of shots. Should be a lot easier to handhold with the shorter lens, too. Hmm.

Thanks!
How's it doing with your corals? I'm still so far away from restocking that I haven't done any research on anything, but the bigger tank'll let me keep some animals I didn't even consider before. A pair or harem of angels is on the list.

| Andy: He hasn't touched a coral since I put him in the tank! Guess that I have been lucky thus far. However, my tank is almost exclusively Softies & LPS corals, no Acropora (except for one small colony). Here's another picture:

for a bit of constructive criticism... it looks to me like they really needed color corrected. But the lesson to be learned is "set custom white balance"
These shots looks like the WB was auto by default and as such corrupted the true/natural colors.
Do see the sticky atop this sub-forum about setting white balance. Its fast, easy and dramatically improves image quality.

Anthony: I indeed DID do a custom WB prior to taking those pictures. Problem is that with the lens that I am using & the fact that all of those pictures were taken handheld, IQ definitely suffered. However, I have on order & am getting a nice Sigma 105mm Macro lens for this camera which should improve picture quality quite a bit I'm sure. Anyway, when I receive the lens & have some time to take a few photos with it, I will post some awesome pictures here!! Steve
