Quick question:
I like to make "make" food for our indoor fish, and I am wondering if we should feed our outside fish better? My fish eat from my hand so I think it would be cool to have a special treat for them when I have the time to hand feed them. What do you think?
My indoor fish are saltwater, and I know the fatty acid (Hufas and Pufas!) are different so I need to feed FW fish FW food. So, I need a new FW recipe!
What is a good protein source for FW fish that I can buy from the grocery store? And, would peas, carrots and the like be good for vegetable matter?

Or, does anyone already have a recipe I can tinker with?

Great links! Thanks!
I had a discussion with Todd Gardner when he was a speaker for our reef club. He said the fatty acid content of FW fish is different than SW fish and he felt that feeding SW fish FW food is a bad idea (We were talking FW vs SW mysis at the time). Do you think it could work the other way, that FW fish should eat fw foods (fish)?

Send me names of vets in Utah? That would be cool, thanks!
If I find any necropsy studies, I'll post em here, if you want?

Wow! Thanks!
Hey, I totally forgot our fledging public aquarium is opening a site devoted to Utah FW fish. They have display of fish from the F&G. I am going to see if they know them.
Thanks again. Great site!
